Another day is here. The sun is shining and this verse comes to my mind.
"In the morning,
LORD, you hear my
voice;
in the morning I lay
my requests before you
and wait expectantly" Psalm 5: 3
Awake, my soul, and with the sun
Thy daily stage of duty run;
Shake off
dull sloth and joyful rise
To pay thy morning sacrifice.
Lord, I my vows to thee renew;
disperse my sins as morning dew,
grant my
first springs of thought and will,
and with thyself my spirit fill.
Direct, control, suggest this day
all I design, or do, or say;
that all my
powers, with all their might,
in thy sole glory may unite. Thomas Ken
Even in retirement I find there is plenty to occupy my time. There is never a dull moment. I pray that I may use my time wisely to bring glory to the God I love and serve. Let me today uphold the name of Jesus in word and in deed.
