We were among the more than 200 guests invited to the Copthorne King's Hotel at Havelock Road for the wedding dinner on Monday evening 2nd April. There were quite a number of folk from Central Corps (Salvation Army church at Bishan) Some of these are now worshipping in other churches. It was great to meet up with our old friends we have not seen for a while.
There was plenty of delicious food, fun and laughter, but there were serious moments as well. The family made it a point to emphasise the Christian faith. Father and uncles of the bride sang Hokkien and English songs. Peirong's parents now attend the Church of Singapore, Hokkien congregation. The mother is a deaconess in the church.
