Good Friday combined service was held at The Salvation Army Central Corps at Bishan. The hall was packed to capacity. It was led by the Territorial Commander Colonel Gillian Downer. The Speaker was the Chief Secretary Lieut. Colonel Bob Lee who spoke on "Crucified and Crowned" based on Colossians 2: 13-15. The combined band of Central and William Booth Corps provided music for the meeting.
The William Booth Corps Songsters and Chinese Corps Singers rendered items.
Two comrades were selected to give their testimonies - Sister Esther Ooi of Balestier Corps and our grandson David represented Central.
The opening prayer was made by three comrades in three languages - CSM Hemma of Eratchippu Corps prayed in Tamil, Sister Tian Huay of Chinese Corps prayed in Chinese and Kar Leong of Changi Corps prayed in English.
The meeting lasted about two hours. Glory crowned the Mercy Seat. It was good to see the long line of seekers kneeling at the Altar.
Beautiful service. We were all blessed.
