Promotion to Glory

This evening we shall be attending the wake of Mrs. Foo and tomorrow will be the funeral.

I recall two years ago, our Territorial Commander Keith Burridge was promoted to Glory. He was one of God's saints and in that short time he was the leader did lot for our people in this territory. It was an honour and a privilege to be asked to give the message at the William Booth Corps the evening we celebrated his promotion to Glory.

In 2003 the year of SARS, Alex Choa was promoted to Glory. He a doctor was only in his thirties and died in the course of duty. Alex was the Corps Sergeant Major of Singapore Central Corps. He was another saint of God. When we were stationed in England, every time he visited the country, he would come to stay for with for one or two nights.

Why did God take these good folk away when they had so much to contribute? It's something I don't understand, but God had His purpose in doing so. One day everything will be revealed to us.
